well-drawn, but lacks substance.

While the art style and animation in this flash is surprisingly good for a first animation, there is no plot and nothing interesting happens, aside from the looping animation of Goku and Frieza shooting those laser things (Kamehameha things, or whatever) at each other. I know from experience that when you first use Flash, it's difficult to make a decent cartoon, but it gets much easier with practice. I'd recommend that you practice more of the basics of Flash animation before you make another movie to upload to Newgrounds.

thanks for the coment, and yeah I know, Im gona practice and I will make better animations :)

As valid as the message is, this is hardly a flash

I agree with the message of this flash and everything, but as a flash movie, it's just not very good. It's only a static image and a text-to-speech voice. I've seen some informative flash movies, and they usually have at least a little more effort put into it than this. Maybe you could add some graphics showing visually what's being talked about, or have some charts or something. It's good that you're informing people about this stuff, though.

Thanks for your input.

That was great!

I really liked how most of Fisthead's body parts could transform into fists. Also, it was funny how the villain ws a mere pinata. The animation style, particularly the large amounts of violence sort of reminded me of Superjail. The music was perfect for this movie, and basically everything's good except for the large file size. Is there some reason for that? Was this made with something other than flash, and then converted to a .swf file? Otherwise, great job!

LordSpew responds:

It is photoshop backgrounds and flash animation with video editing in Premier and After Effects. Then I brought it back into flash to turn into a swf That's why the file ended up being large I believe. But thanks on all the other counts!

so far, the best flash this year.

This flash apparently took four days to make, missing the point of the flash flood, but what your stuff lacks in quantity you more than make up for in quality! I'd be lucky if I could make a flash like that in two weeks. The way the music didn't fit with the imagery in the slightest also added to this movie's dark comedy, but the little 'skull-drum-solo' thing was icing on a cake. You, too, have inspired me to try and make something that's awesome for a change. Really, this is just greeeat.

CorpseGrinderClock responds:

You have more and better flash than I had when I was your CC "age".

(In fact...I think you still have more flash than I do.)

You've got potential, but this could be better.

The image quality was really bad, and as such everything was all pixelated and blurry. The action scenes (which was pretty much the whole movie) were slow and tedious, but a higher framerate would've fixed that. The animation itself was kind of jerky, and that drumming in the background was a little off at times, but the concept seems pretty interesting.

RedBungie responds:

I haven't found a way to get the file size small enough with leaving the quality up, my camera records in HD, but it means nothing compared to a 10 mb limit, I'm going to put the better quality vids on youtube, and work on getting the file size down small enough to fit

This, too, is damn fancy.

Seriously, this is the best clock movie I've ever seen since "Easy Way Out." 10/10

ClockRadio responds:

Munglai and Tim Burton have been rivals for 27 years is what I heard

Pretty good for a first flash.

I liked the general art/animation style but to me the bobber is too big or something compared to the fish. Also, though it had a good moral, I thought the movie was just a little too short. I also think the movie would've been better if the seagull noises were more subtle. Other than that, though, this is a pretty good movie, and it's nice to see a first flash that isn't something thrown together in twenty minutes with stick figures and no audio. Keep up the good work!

mrkenneh responds:

Aww.. now I feel kind of bad. "nice to see a first flash that isn't something thrown together in twenty minutes"...

But thank you for such a high score and kind review! I'll keep in mind the pointers you gave.

Clocks + Michael Bay spoof = great

Well the animation itself wasn't much to write home about, I really liked this parody of Michael Bay's directing style. It was also pretty funny how when OrangeClock exploded, he turned into orange juice. The music used in the flash also fit in very well with the movie. However, I've noticed that recently everyone's been parodying Michael Bay's movies. How come it's taken until now for everyone to realise his movies are pretty much nothing but action? Also, I noticed that in the scene with OrangeClock, the background is narrower than in the other scenes, which I thought didn't look very good. Aside from that, I liked this flash a lot.

DrSevenSeizeMD responds:

Thanks for your review! I'm new to flash, and I only used 4 scenes, so the background being narrow is probably my fault, I changed the backgrounds on one layer. You are right about how Michael Bay is getting more attention lately. I guess because of Transformers. Thanks for the comment on the music, we really tried to make it fit, so you just made our night. :-)

Fairly entertaining.

Your lip-synching wasn't that great, and the art and animation in general seemed thrown-together, as though you made this in 20 minutes and not 3 months. And for some reason, the dialogue and the animation were strangely reminiscent of the show Home Movies. Still, the audio itself was pretty funny, and some of the pictures that accompanied it (like the half-Diet Coke, half-regular Coke Frankensoda) were also quite amusing.

holyforks responds:

like i said it was more of a test to try out different types of lip-syncing

Great, though some parts were somewhat lacking.

Out of all the contributions, I think FluffKomix's and Magical-Zorse's were the best, the former because it was funny (especially the subtitles), and the latter because it was a pretty fun game. JKAmovies's part was pretty hilarious too. MartinSMcfly's part was rather poorly done/animated, but I kind of think that was intentional. I noticed that most of the parts were quick little shorts; for many of them, it worked, but some of them just seemed thrown-together. Despite this, I'd say this is a great collaborative-type movie.

fluffkomix responds:

thanks.
